Email and Text Communications
We will never spam you. We use your email and text information only for sending notifications about the monitored status of your solar energy system. You have complete control over these communications by checking or unchecking boxes in your SolarView settings. We may also communicate with you regarding billing/payment issues or to make you aware of important updates or features or for responding to your queries and requests. We will not share or sell your contact information with any third parties.
Who we share your data with
How long we retain your data
We retain data related to your solar energy system, which is necessary for us to be able to provide you with monitoring service. This data is retained only as long as you have an active account with us. The type of data we retain includes identifying information about your solar inverter, your name, address, email address, and, if provided, your phone number. All of this data is secured behind your SolarEdge Site ID and API Key for your protection.
Payment processing is conducted through a third party payment processor (e.g., Square, Paypal, etc), therefore SolarView Technologies does not retain or store your credit card information.
Where we send your data
We do not send your data anywhere except to the extent that we must use it to validate access to your solar inverter system.
Your contact information
We will never share your contact information with anyone or use it for any purposes other than conducting business that you authorize.
How we protect your data
We use the absolute minimum of data necessary to provide the service you are paying for. Any data that we have is secured behind your SolarEdge Site ID and API Key at all times that it is transmitted or stored outside of the SolarView software.
What data breach procedures we have in place
Your data is always secured behind your SolarEdge Site ID and API Keyand we do not retain important identifying information such as credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, etc. Aside from this, our primary method of avoiding data breaches is to not retain critical personal data in the first place.
What third parties we receive data from
In addition to your solar inverter company, we also receive publicly available data from weather, time, and geocoding services. None of this data involves personal identification.
